I’m a senior engineer writing under the handle aliasunder. This blog documents building a personal AI memory system in public — the wins, the dead ends, and the infrastructure decisions in between.

The main thread is vault-cortex, an open-source remote MCP server that gives Claude (and any MCP client) full read/write access to an Obsidian vault from anywhere — phone, web, or desktop.
